Regrowing Green Onions

I recently learned a new trick and I was amazed at how fast it started working!

The next time you have green onions, don't throw away the white ends. Simply place them in a glass of water and place them in a sunny window. Your onions will begin to grow almost immediately and can be harvested almost indefinitely.

I placed the two that I used in a little cordial glass, put a little tap water in it , and placed it in the window. Only a few hours later I could see it growing already! I change out the water every few days to keep it fresh. As I used more store-bought green onions I switched to an old glass.


I may never have to buy (or use garden space) for green onions again!
